- Scope and Contentwho at his death owned a) 1 acre 1 rood 36 perches, Tempsford Road, Sandy, mortgaged to Wells and Company b) 1 acre 2 roods copyhold land near the Schools at Sandy next to Wells and Company, property surrendered of 1 May 1844 to W Jeeves deposited with Wells and Company but not admitted c) 1 acre 3 roods 10 perches land near above in Tempsford Road, Conquest and Clare have deeds (mortgage in £140 and interest) Allen Jeeves and Thomas Millard surviving trustees latter tenant for life as W Jeeves’ nephew Will proved 30 November 1872 Wells and Company lent W Jeeves 2 sums of £60 each and £25 interest due in 1881 near Tempsford land piece of land 1 acre 3 roods (sic) i.e. c) bought through Smith of Potton about 30 years ago. Samuel Way advanced £140 on this, when he failed, Conquest and Clare took it over Millard agreed to sell all the land in Tempsford Road at £350 to Spring Conquest and Clare will do no more till Mr Lindsell apologised for insulting them Lindsell will buy copyhold
