    28 May 1727 Elizabeth Barfoot of Millbrook, widow and relict of Richard Barfoot late of Millbrook, cordwainer, then deceased, surrendered to the Lord of the Manor by William Cawne the then steward -cottage in Millbrook wherein Elizabeth Barfoot then dwelt -close of pasture adjoining, 1 acre -one acre of sward ground in a common field of Millbrook called Long Croft to the use of the will of Elizabeth Barfoot by her will dated 13 August 1730 [see ABP/W1731/18] she bequeathed the said premises to her nephew Jeremiah Grey (son of her late brother Jeremiah Grey late of Ampthill, deceased) and wife Eleanor Now: Jeremiah Grey and wife Eleanor seek admission and are admitted rent: 2s..4½d, 1s fine: 10s..1½d [for admission to this see Court Book of Honour of Ampthill 9 October 1716]
