    The information given by the deeds about the descent of the property at this stage can be supplemented from other sources. William Broad junior died in 1668 (B.P.R.S. XX) and the property passed to his brother Richard Broad, yeoman of Millbrook who disposed of it by will as follows: Will of Richard Broad of Millbrook, yeoman has surrendered to Lord of manor of Millbrook to use of will: -2½ acres arable dispersed in Sanfeild -4 acres 3 roods arable dispersed in Ford Feild -5 acres arable dispersed in High Feild -1½ acres arable dispersed in Low Feild -1 acre sward dispersed in Low Feild -close of pasture, 3 acres, called Thillands -messuage where testator now lives in Millbrook -orchard and pightle of pasture, 3 acres -½ acre in Little Mead now declares use to be as follows: - said premises to sister Elizabeth Swain widow, for life; after her death to William Swain for life subject to payment of £5 each to all children of testator's niece Mary Bushby deceased, within one year after entry to said premises - after death of William Swain said premises to Francis Circutt, Elizabeth Bushby, Thomas Bushby, William Bushby and Mary Bushby, children of said Mary Bushby deceased and their heirs, to be equally divided; share of any one who dies without issue to be divided amongst others - devises freehold estate to William Swain for life, then to be equally divided amongst children of said neice Mary Bushby deceased; ; share of any one who dies without issue to be divided amongst others -crop of grain, hay grass, cattle, household goods and personal estate to be divided equally between Elizabeth Swain and William Swain - Elizabeth Swain and William Swain executors Witnesses: Thomas Bushbie, Ann Rawson, James Pigg dated 3 Jul 1697, proved 26 Jul 1697 (ABP/W1697/133)
