    Consideration: £1,200 -capital messuage lately erected in Chappell End near the Greene there in occupation of i) and before in occupation of Lewis Conquest, gentleman -ancient messuage near the said capital messuage -close of pasture 5 acres adjoining said capital messuage -messuage with appurtenances in Chappell End in occupation of Thomas Mynnes and before in occupation of Margery Gromond widow deceased -messuage and close adjoining 2 acres in Houghton Conquest in occupation of Richard Smyth -messuage in Houghton Conquest in occupation of Thomas Yarrell -2 pightles of pasture adjoining above containing 3 acres :W. close of John Crowch :S. lands of Sir Francis Clarke -messuage and close of pasture 2 acres in Chappell End in occupation of Richard Stratton and before in occupation of Christopher Lumberd deceased -toft late a messuage in Chappell End late in occupation of Thomas Dwyn and all arable land and leys late held in farm with said messuage by said Thomas Dwyn and now in occupation of i), containing 7 roods, late purchased of Thomas Day senior and Thomas Day junior and 40 acres arable dispersed in Houghton Conquest late conveyed to Lewis Conquest by Sir Richard Conquest knight, deceased, his late father -messuage and pightle or little close adjoining in Chappell End in occupation of Thomas Wilcoxe and all other premises conveyed to i) by Lewis Conquest by Indenture 22 August 1 Charles I [1625] all which premises Lewis Conquest, before the conveyance of the inheritance of the same to Richard Conquest, leased to Sir Francis Clerke for 99 years [RO5/273]; the interest of Sir Francis Clerke in the same afterwards came to Lewis Conquest and from him to Richard Conquest on condition of payment of £1,200 and is now come to Richard Evelyn by assignment of Richard and Lewis Conquest by Indenture of same date as presents [RO5/274] on repayment of £1,488 mentioned in RO5/274 this indenture is to be void Signature: Richard Evelyn Witnesses: Richard Conquest, George Duncumbe, Miles Conquest, Samuel Abbott, William Wildinge Endorsement: no. 296
