    -all lands and tenements of i) in the villeinage and fields of Massewrth without any reservation (sine ullo retenemento) from the feast of St Michael 28 Edward I [29 September 1300] for 11 years then next following paying 30s per annum ie.: at St John the Baptist 15s at St Michael 15s reserving to i) and wife Alice and their heirs, tenements and lands which could fall to i) during the period of the lease from the dowry of Lady Jane (Jena, Gena) if she should die; reserving other lands and tenements in the same villeinage which could descend to i) after the making of this document; reserving also 10s annual rent which William the son of John was accustomed to pay in the same villeinage after the 11 years ii) may have the premises aforesaid for term of his life, if he wishes, paying 100s per annum at the aforesaid terms. ii) is to maintain part of the grange (partem grangie) of aforesaid John in the same or better condition for the aforesaid time Witnesses: Ralph of Wedon, William son of John of Messeworth (-wrth), Henry of the Hurne, William the Cupere of the same, Hugh the Cupere of the same, John Jonat of the same, William Jonat of the same Endorsement: no.15 at Messewrth
