- Scope and ContentOn 1 September, whilst in the execution of his duty as constable at the proceedings held at the Swan public house in Bromham, he was ordered by the coroner, Ezra Eagles to call Mathew Long as a witness. He went to Mathew Long, who was in the tap room and found him in a state of drunkenness and not fit to give an answer. He returned to the coronoer and jury assembled and advised of the circumstances. He was ordered to give the informed before a magistrate in order that the law which provided for such an offence might be put into execution.
