- Scope and Contentall right in: - manor of Venygales, which i) has for term of life, by grant from Henry Conquest, father of said John Seal: diameter ½" depicts a star Endorsement: no.62 at Venygales feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary [Tewkesbury, Gloucester is the only place name given in the Gazetteer which is anything like that given above. Gloucestershire VCH mentions no “Venygales” manor in the Tewkesbury area. There is no reference to a manor of this name in the Bedfordshire VCH or in the CRO card index although there is a manor of “Tewelsbury” in Upper Gravenhurst. Hertfordshire VCH vol.
