Letter to R Hobourn, Solicitor, Woburn, from Robert K Lockett, Solicitor, Liverpool. Comments on the unfortunate matrimonial differences of James Bernard Allen and his wife. ‘ I have today received a letter from him, from which the following is an extract: “There must be an agreement drawn up for my wife to sign stating quite clearly that in demanding this money it will be the last penny she will have claim to, other than her monthly allowance. In other words she cannot expect anything more from me.” Suggests a supplemental agreement be endorsed to the Deed of Separation dated 3rd Sep 1932 providing for the payment of £500 to Mrs Allen and handing over to her the furniture of two rooms.
