- Scope and ContentRecites: RO1/77 Recites: Indenture 1 February 1705/6 Mortgage by Demise for Years (i) Robert Squire of Marston Moretaine (ii) William Gregory for securing payment of said £400 -2 closes arable and sward in Millbrook called Pease Close, containing 13 acres 17 perches in occupation of i) -2 grovetts or coppices of wood adjoining said closes containing 1 acre 3 roods for term of 1,000 years with bond for £800 for performance of covenants Whereas: repayment was not made. William Gregory is dead; will proved in Prerogative Court of Canterbury 12 June 1706. £400 due to ii) on two said mortgages for principal and interest Now: consideration: £400 paid to ii) by consent of i) viz: £200 from Dwight and £200 from Michell ii) assigns to iii) - messuage called Loddingtons and 2 closes of pasture adjoining and one little pightle or croft -Pease Closes and 2 coppices adjoining for residue of 2 terms of 1,000 years repayment: £203 at common dining hall of Middle Temple on 21 November next each to Dwight and Michel Signatures: i) and ii) Witnesses: (?)
