    There is no copy of the will of Edwin Denbigh amongst the deeds in RO2 as the original will (ABP/W1720/114) was produced in court in the ensuing lawsuit. The original bears the following endorsements: (A) In Chancery John Crouch and another plaintiff v. Ann Baroness Dowager of Gowran and other defendants this ..... was produced ..... to John Gamble, Charles Fletcher, clerk and Thomas Musson gentleman and Thomas Roe at the time of their several examinations in this cause 19 January 1741, before Goddard Urlin Henry Horton William Aveling The following calendar of the original will is included here to elucidate what follows. Edwin Denbigh of Ampthill, gentleman - to wife Anne in lieu of thirds, annuity of £30 issuing out of Manor of Reddings alias Howend and all other hereditaments in Houghton Conquest or Millbrook, for life payable at feast days of St John the Baptist, St Michael, St Thomas and the Annunciation, by equal portions, in south porch of Ampthill Church - to daughter Susan all testator’s lands in Lidlington and £30 out of first rents of premises in Houghton Conquest and Millbrook after testator’s decease after payment of wife’s annuity - to trusty friends John Crouch and Edward Bigg both of Lidlington, said manor of Reddings alias Howend and all testator’s lands in Houghton Conquest and Millbrook in trust to pay said wife said annuity of £30 and the said £30 to daughter Susan; residue of profits to be paid to 3 daughters Mary wife of Edward Money, gentleman, Anne wife of Stephen Woodyfeild, clerk and said Susan in equal portions - to daughter Susan £600 to be raised from said premise in Houghton Conquest and Millbrook to be paid within 6 months after death of testator’s wife. - said trustees to sell said premises in Houghton Conquest and Millbrook as soon as convenient after death of testator’s said wife and after payment of said £600, lay out overplus arising from sale to purchase freehold premises and settle the same as follows: one moiety to be received by daughter Mary for life. other moiety by daughter Anne for life. after their respective deceases to be settled as they shall have appointed, or, in default of any such appointment, to be equally divided amongst their children; if possible said trustees to make separate purchase for each moiety Until sale of premises said trustees to take profits from wife’s death and pay them, after deduction of Susan’s portions, to said Anne and Mary - personal estate to wife Anne and daughter, executrices - John Crouch and Edward Bigg to be allowed the expenses; gives them 20s each to buy rings.
