Confirmation from the Clerk of the Crown and Clerk of Assize on the South Wales Circuit that on 23rd June 1897 at Swansea Session he was previously convicted of breaking and entering the dwelling house of Frederick Samuel Price on the 22nd March 1897 and stealing a pair of silver sleeve links, a silver brooch, a leather purse, a tobacco pouch, a cigarette holder and case, two dozen eggs, half a pound of butter, some apple tart and plum pudding total value £1; and threepence halfpenny in money. Sentence: 12 calendar months imprisonment with hard labour.
