Admin/biog history
Hill Farm was left by James Whinnett to his son William Whinnett in 1824. By 1841 William Whinnett aged 65 farmer was listed at Tebworth on the census and his son James is a farmer at Wingfield. James was christened in 1813 and married in 1835. William Whinnett died in 1849 and was buried at Chalgrave on 16th July. His will was proved in 1850. James and his wife Ruth are farming 77 acres at Wingfield in 1851. Richard Cumberland was a schoolmaster and surveyor in Houghton Regis by 1841.
