    Parties: (i) Joseph Williamson the younger of Luton, hatter; (ii) Matthew Coles of Luton, grocer and tallow chandler Reciting: - Z1550/6, lease for 1 year; - Z1550/4, purchase by Joseph Williamson from John Okey of Bath, Elizabeth his wife and William Okey of High Wycombe Operative part: - (ii) paid £87 10s to (i) - (i) released (a) to (ii) Property: (a) 2 acres 3 roods and 13 poles, being the SE side of a piece of arable land containing 4 acres 1 rood and 6 poles lying in the common field called Bridge Field in Luton (remainder conveyed to John Coles, see Z1550/5) abutting: on one side land formerly of Mr Ewer and now of Samuel Chase; on the other side land of the Earl of Bute; at one end the land formerly of Mr Ewer and now of Samuel Chase; at the other end land formerly of Mr Dalby and now of John Procter. Lately occupied by Andrew Ewbank. Recites the following deeds in schedule: - 13 November 1685, feoffment, William Joyce, Thomas Samm the elder and Mary Brown convey land in Luton to William Okey; - Michaelmas Term 1685, fine between William Okey and George Barton (pltfs) and William Joyce, Thomas Samm, Mary Brown widow, William Field senior and Ann his wife and William Field junior (defs); - 21 December 1685, deed to declare the uses of a fine between (i) William Joyce, Thomas Sam, Mary Brown, William Field the elder and Ann his wife, and William Field the younger, and (ii) William Okey and George Barton; - 18 & 19 October 1717, lease and release, (i) John Roberts and wife Sarah (daughter and heir of William Everitt, late of Luton), and Robert Jenkyn and Sarah his wife (widow of William Everitt), conveying lands in Luton to (ii) Jeremiah Okey of Luton; - Michaelmas 1717, fine between Jeremiah Okey (pltf) and John Roberts and wife Sarah, and Robert Jenkyn and wife Sarah (defs); - 2 June 1753, deed poll under hands of John Cook and his wife Mary, release and discharge for a legacy of £50 given to Mary by the will of Jeremiah Okey; - 14 December 1773, attested copy of release and discharge under hands of George Bassill and Mary his wife, William Freeman and Elizabeth his wife and Benjamin Hubbins and Lydia his wife for sums of £50 apiece given to Mary, Elizabeth and Lydia by the will of Jeremiah Okey their grandfather; - 9 & 10 October 1775, lease and release between (i) John Okey of Bath and wife Elizabeth, and William Okey; and (ii) Joseph Williamson the younger of Luton conveying lands and tenements in Luton.
