Thomas Knowlton, gamekeeper of the parish of Puddington who on his corporal oath hath said that John Denton had threatened him at different times particularly on 28 July when Denton said to him "Knowlton I am going out with my gun in the morning and damn your eyes if you follow me I will beat your brains out". Thomas Knowlton said he believed himself to be in danger of death or some bodily hurt from John Denton.
