John Cowland, labourer of Old Warden, £10 and James Simms, labourer of Hawnes, £10. That on examination, Elizabeth Mayes of Hawnes declared that she is with child and that the said child is likely to be born a Bastard and to be chargeable to the parish of Hawnes. She declared John Cowland to be the father of the child.
