- Scope and ContentMortgage Parties: (i) School Board of the United District of Stanbridge, Eggington and Tilsworth; (ii) William Williamson Willink of Bank Buildings, City of London secretary of the Public Works Loan Commissioners Reciting - Order of the Education Department of 23 November 1874 creating the united school board; - the school board was set elected and constituted; - Elementary Education Act 1870 enacted that the school board's expenses should be paid by the School Fund; - Elementary Education Act 1873 enacted that if a school board incurred expenses in providing a school house they might spread the payment over up to fifty years with the approval of the Education Department on security of the School Fund and Local Rate with money lent by the Education Department; - the Education Department consented to loan to (i) on 5 October 1877, repayment with interest to be spread over fifty years; - the school board had incurred £615/3/- on building a school house Operative Part - (ii) lent £600 to (i) who charged repayment on the School Fund and Local rate at the sum of £25/11/6 per annum for fifty years Annexed: - acknowledgement by the school board clerk, Stephen Douglas Beckley Middleton of Dunstable; - copy of the minute by which the school board rersolved to request the loan; - copy of the entry on the Register of Mortgages.
