- TitleAbel Lowe of Wootton, convicted of stealing a poplar tree, the value of a shilling and property of Joseph Francis Buckworth esq. Abel Jones is adjudged, being his first offence, to pay the sum of 20 shillings for the value of the ite, and a further sum of a shilling and also pay costs of 19 shillings. If in default of immediate payment, to be imprisoned and kept at hard labour in the New House of Correction for a calendar month unless the sum shall be paid sooner. They direct the sum of 20 shillings to be paid to one of the overseers of the poor of the parish, the sum of a shilling to be paid to the agrieved party and they ordered 19 shillings for costs to be paid to Robert Slater, the complainant.
