Upon the motion of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Westoning, it is ordered that an appeal be returned from an order under the hands and seals of James Reed and Edmund Burke Lewis, Justices of the Peace. The case bearing the date of 6 July for the removal of Thomas Linger, Mary Ann, his wife, and 7 children; Louisa aged 18 years, Eliza aged 16 years, John aged 12 years, Thomas aged 11 years, William aged 8 years, Benjamin aged 4 years and Sarah under the age of 1 years, from the parish of Harlington to the parish of Westoning. It is ordered that the said order be quashed and that the repsondents pay the appellants £12 16d 2d for costs of maintenance.
