    On dorse Sale Contract to G Winch for £135,000 14 Nov 1898 Attached: Declaration of Charles Samuel Lindsell of the Holme, Biggleswade aged 74 years, upwards of 40 years been a member of Wells and Company carrying on at Biggleswade, business of Brewers, Maltsters and Wine Merchants. Large part owned by his grandfather Samuel Wells, died 24 July 1831 1) Regarding purchase of small piece of land behind spirit store “Pope’s garden” admitted 30 April 1841 2) Piece of land fronting Brewery Lane North (from S Wells) 3) Piece of land. Chapel Fields Lane and Brewery Lane part purchased from random 26 April 1850 4) Land to W. of Chapel Fields Lane on corner of Brewery Lane, purchased from M A Hebert etc. 9 April 1864 5) Land fronts Chapel Fields Lane W. derived from S Wells. (adjoining Half Moon) part of which sold off separately to Brewery 6) Regarding Crown, Langford formerly owned by S Wells, most from him to Wells and Company, rest bought his heir at law (See plans) 5 May 1899
