Admission of C S Lindsell by Arthur J Hills his steward (on deaths of Frederick Hogg and William Lindsell who were admitted 13 February 1836) described 1836 as messuage called “New Inn” erected and built on site whereon stood a messuage destroyed by fire (1873 probably) formerly called “The Black Horse”, King Street, Potton in occupation of Samuel Gravestock 1895 description messuage etc. as above And barns, stables at rear, in occupation of Edward Williams And cottage adjoining in King Street, Potton formerly part of Inn but separated from it. occupied by Samuel Compton or undertenant Mrs Golding 10 Dec 1895 made c.1898
