- Scope and ContentFrom William Tarry, Ambroseden, Oxfordshire, to ? "I was told they would not have the parish (Arncott) surveyed nor would they appoint any person to assist me, and they swore positively that it should not be done. They would bring it to Assize Trial before they would submit. They blame themselves for signing an agreement now to late they repent. They're willing to allow you an equivalent satisfaction for the trouble you've been at,- still I should like very much to take the survey it lays well and Level, and then I think you would (by taking this survey) get interest in the County for more.....and what to do in this case I cannot tell, I shall await the result of your opinion. But by all means I should wish you to come over immediately. P.S. If you wish me to leave this place and make a demand for our trouble (mentioning the Sum) your answer will be your opinion. They every one wish for an Inclosure, and they wish me to inform you that it is their particular wish for it (the Field) to be done immediately...."
