Made 18 Jul 1747 Proved Bedford 1747/8 No date when copy was made (papermark 1816) (NB Will of William Findlay, of Ampthill, gentleman “weak in body”) ... messuage or inn called the “White Hart”, Ampthill in occupation of John Blakely with all houses, outhouses, edifices, buildings, barns, stables, yards etc. and other messuage or tenement with the outhouses, stables, coach house and part of the garden with the summer house in Ampthill, late in occupation of Thomas Armstrong and now of Mrs Armstrong, his widow, to sister Martha, wife of Thomas Eyles, surgeon; life reversion to nephew John Bolding. Martha and Ann Wyles as tenants in common subject to brother in law Thomas Wyle’s trust to pay a) £50 to sister Margaret, wife of George Gale of Ampthill, brasier for herself b) £10 to sister Ann Dearmer for herself £10 for niece Martha Dearmer within 5 years after testators death. further £50 for Margaret Gale within 1 or 2 years.
