- TitleAffidavit of Thomas Hollis of Steppingley, parish clerk, that he knew Deborah, widow of Thomas Cook senior who died 1814, and she died 1821, and he was present at her interment, but neither were buried according to the ceremonies of the Church of England as they died unbaptized, and so no entries appear in the burial registers of Steppingley. Their daughter Deborah married John Freeman in 1821 and died shortly afterwards, and Hollis was present at her burial, but this also was without ceremony, and was not entered in registers.
