BMB4/1/11/14/8

Letter from Reuben Tysoe regarding interest on loan from Higgins. Encloses letter he received [BMB4/1/11/14/7]. The loan was in 1880, and no interest has ever been paid or requested. 'Two years last harvest Mr Higgins gave it me [the I.O.U.] on condition that I did not plough the land up again without his consent'. The next rent day Harris tore up the note and burnt it. Tysoe cannot understand why it is being asked for now.
