    To friends and executors, Daniel Wright of Ampthill, innholder, and Isaac Coote of Maulden, miller, in trust: freehold cottage and malting in Bedford Street, Ampthill, wherein testator dwells; and cottage late Greens in same street in occupation Henry Potter and Charles Copperwheat; to be sold for annuity of £12 for wife Judith; and also copyhold cottage in Mill Street in occupation James King, from which income is to be paid to wife to complete the £12 during her life; and on her death to brother John of Toddington, labourer. To wife Judith for life freehold cottage in Church End in occupation Elizabeth Arnald; also plate and furniture, and after her death for niece Mary Copperwheat. To niece Mary Copperwheat £100 from which she is to pay £5 per annum to wife Judith as long as they shall “amicably agree to live together”. To nephew Charles, son of brother William, £100. To brother Samuel Copperwheat of Maulden, weaver, annuity. Small bequests to nephew Samuel, son of brother Samuel, to pay off the mortgage on his father’s house; to nephew Charles, son of brother Samuel, to nieces Ann, Kesiah, and Susannah, daughters of brother Samuel; to sister Mary, wife of Evan Davis of Caermarthen; to nephew Philip Davis and nieces Mary and Elizabeth Davis; to nephew William Copperwheat of London, breeches-maker. Witnesses: Mary Greene, Benjamin Greene, George Gurney 1 Mar 1748/9 Codicil changing form of bequest to niece Mary, in view of her marriage to John Horsepool; and substituting bequest to niece Martha Copperwheat for that of sister Mary Davis deceased.
