    Roll 48, Cardington Court held there on the Friday next before the feast of the translation of Saint Thomas the martyr in the above Year [6th July1459] Essoins Thomas Fox and Thomas Blythe of the common Postponed until the day of the view The Homage there, that is to say, Thomas Vynter, John Fyll, Simon Carter , William Bakewayte, Simon Smyth, William Warner, John Gardiner, Thomas Boston, Robert Waterman, sworn men, present that there was an assault between Robert Horne and John Neweman senior, whose defence is unknown and [it is] postponed until the day of the View for a better enquiry, and they said that Robert Horne drew blood and that otherwise all was well on this day. Fealty To this came William Waryner and he was recognised to hold one tenement with certain lands and one toft from the lord freely, at the rate of nothing paid a year for suit of court neither in the demesne nor in the Views and he made fealty. Sum of this court, nothing.
