    Recites A) Conveyance (Lease and Release), dated 3, 4 June 1765; for £450: i) Thomas Dove of Harlington, clerk; ii) John Wardall; iii) Thomas and Francis Bushby; iv) William Hay of Luton, draper; and v) Jeremy Fish Palmer of Bedford, gentleman. iii) to pay i) by direction of ii) £353..3s; and to pay ii) £96..17s. ... a messuage in Water End in Maulden, in occupation of John Wardall; a pightle of pasture adjoining (2 acres); 1 acre land called Fuzzin Hill; and a ploughed close called Cataborows; and 32¾ acres dispersed in the Common Fields of Maulden [no details]; a cottage and garden in occupation of [blank] Barratt, a cottage and garden (½ acre) in occupation of John Wardall, a cottage and land (1½ acres) in occupation of John Wardall, and 4 acres meadow in Lowsey Mead, in Maulden. (To hold to iii), subject to proviso that if ii) pays £450 and interest before 1 December following, the property shall be reconveyed to him). B) Mortgage (Further Charge); for £50; dated 4 June 1767: John Wardall to Thomas and Francis Bushby. ... [The said property]. (To hold for ever, and not to be redeemable until the £450 and £50 and interest be repaid). C) Mortgage (Further Charge); for £180, and Confirmation, dated 14 Dec 1771: John Wardall to Thomas and Francis Bushby. (Itself reciting a) that there remained due to Thomas and Francis Bushby the principal sum of £500 and interest; b) Conveyance (Lease and Release, of even date: i) John Wardell; ii) Thomas Bushby and Francis Bushby; iii) John Vernon of Southampton Building (county Middlesex), gentleman; iv) Jeremy Fish Palmer; and v) John Elderton of Featherstone Buildings (county Middlesex), gentleman. ... Cataborows Close and 32¾ acres in Common Fields of Maulden. (Assured by i) and ii) to use of iii) for ever, in consideration of £360 to ii) and £140 to i)): and c) that Thomas Bushby and Francis Bushby had agreed to advance a further £40 to John Wardall). ... All property hereinbefore recited except Cataborows Close and the 32¾ acres (To hold to Thomas Bushby and Francis Bushby for ever, if said £180 be not paid on 14 June 1772). D) that the said £180 was not paid, and agreement was made for absolute purchase at £280]. ... All the said property except Cataborows Close and the said 32¾ acres; as hereafter described: a messuage in Water End in Maulden late in occupation of John Wardall and now of John Plummer; a close (2 acres) adjoining, abutting NW. on the highway, between the lane to Water End NW. [rectius NE.] and the ground of Widow Fareham SW.; a cottage late in occupation of John Wardall and now untenanted; ½ acre of garden ground adjoining, abutting SE. on the Brook, and the highway NW.; a cottage now untenanted; 1½ acres adjoining, whereof 1 acre abuts NW. on land of [blank] Vernon esquire, and SW on the highway, between land late of Sir John Cotton SW., and of William Bone NE.; and ½ acre shooting against the said highway NW., and the Brook SE, between the Town Land NE., and the land late of Sir John Cotton SW.; all in Maulden. And also 1 acre of “furzen” ground in Maulden called Furzen Hill, abutting N. on the highway, and W. on Widow Faceham’s ground, with the highway from Shefford to Flitton to the SE.; and 6¾ acres dispersed in the Common Meadows of Maulden, as follows: in Lowsey Meadow, 3 acres between the highway to Shefford NW., and Clophill Brook SE., the Town Ground SW., and the ground of the Duke of Bedford NE.; in Hollington Meadow 1½ acres, abutting NW. on the Common, and Silsoe Brook SE., the ground of the Duke of Bedford SW., and of Lord Hardwick NE., and in Acres Meadow, 2¼ acres, ½ acre whereof abuts on the ground of the Duke of Bedford NW., and the said Brook SE., with the ground of said Vernon on SW., and of Lord Hardwick NE., and 1¾ acres abuts on the ground of Duke of Bedford NW., and the said Brook SE., with ground of Lord Hardwick SW., and of Mr Squire on NE.; all of which is in occupation of John Plummer.
