    ... a messuage in Ampthill, formerly in occupation of William Wainwright and William Hutchinson, then of Thomas Broughton, and now of Daniel Gibberne, between the messuage of Thomas Hollingworth S., the cottage formerly of Charles Dymock on N., and the common street on W.; .....also a close called Hill Ground, and the 2 leys belonging, with the part of the Hop Ground lying on the N. of the said Hill Ground, and at the lower end of the yard of the messuage in occupation of Widow Gale, and lying next to Dunstable Street, containing together 5 acres, lying together in Ampthill between ground formerly in tenure of Richard Saunders S., and of Thomas Evans N.; .....also a way through a piece of ground in Ampthill, formerly of Richard Fowkes and now of Widow Gale, called the “Compasses”, lying near Dunstable Street, between the highway from Ampthill to Dunstable on W., into the said pieces of pasture and hop-ground; (which said property was purchased by John Franklin senior of Michael Jellys of Ampthill, innholder, and wife Susan, by Deed dated 30 July 10 Charles I [1634], formerly in occupation of Daniel Wright, and now of Christopher Hatton. .....And also a cottage in Ampthill, late in occupation of Thomas Askham, and now of Thomas Love; .....also a garden late in occupation of Reverend Joseph Cardale; .....and another garden late in occupation of [blank] Creek; (all purchased by Thomas Orlebar Marsh from the Reverend Christopher Hatton and wife Elizabeth) Witnesses: Elizabeth Swain and Samuel Davis
