    ...A messuage in the Neither End of Wilstead, formerly in occupation of Edward Cartwright; and a close adjoining (4 acres), lying between the messuage of George Lawson, gentleman, on W., and the cottages of Thomas Hull and William Lovelidge on E., abutting N. on the close of the said George Lawson, and S. on the highway. Also 9 acres dispersed in the Fields of Wilstead. Place-names: Mead Field, Sisetts Leys, Gostwick Furlong, Mead End, Brooke Furlong, Harns Bush Furlong, Sutton Furlong, Innings Furlong, Belland. Personal-names: John Warner, late Mr Bales, late William Cawne, gentleman, William Bedell, gentleman, Mr Arnald, George Lawson, William Pryor, Mr Christie, William Woolhead, William Woodward, Henry Dearman, William Edwards, gentleman. (all purchased by said William Wells from Edward Cartwright). Also Coppy Close (5 acres), lying between Ley Lane E. and land late of Sir George Blundell W. Also a close (2 acres), formerly in occupation of Henry Dearmer, and now of William Tompkins, with a cottage in occupation of Edward Cooper on N., and the highway to Cotton End S. Also 13½ acres dispersed in the Common Fields of Wilstead, formerly in occupation of John Smith and William Osmond, and now of William Tompkins, viz: 5½ acres in the Hill Field, 3 acres in the Meade Field, 1 acre in Cotton End Field, and 4 acres in Home Field. And also 5 roods meadow in Heither Mead, and 1 swath in Further Mead. (all purchased of John Smith and John Osmond). Also a toft or piece of ground on which a messuage once stood, formerly in occupation of John Bigg. (Both purchased of John Bigg). And also a cottage in Wilstead, in which George Giggle dwells, between the cottage of John Stratton N., and the tenement of Mrs Emery N., abutting W. on highway, and E. on the tenement of Mrs Emery. (occupied by George Giggle and William Tompkins at annual rent of £20, and lately devised by the said William Wells, clerk, to Zachariah Wells and William Wells)
