    ...Devises to son William Finlay, his messuage in Ampthill, called the “White Hart”, in occupation of John Blakely; also a messuage in Ampthill in occupation of Thomas Armstrong esquire; also a messuage adjoining the last, in occupation of Michael Morris, blacksmith; also a messuage and maulting, formerly in occupation of Charle Dymoke, gentleman, deceased, (now divided into several tenements) in occupation of himself, Mrs Terry, [blank[ Dix widow, and son-in-law Thomas Hollingworth, with 3 closes adjoining called Upper Close, Middle Close and Lower Close; a messuage adjoining the Lower Close, in occupation of Arthur Wooding and Thomas Sharpe; and his acres of Common Field Land in Ampthill, in Flitwick Field, shooting down to the Brook by Yewgreen house, in occupation of Daniel Wright, gentleman; charged with payment of £15 to granddaughter Martha Dearmer; and also all messuages in Ampthill; and all lands in Ampthill and Maulden, which with the messuage called “the Compasses”, are in occupation of son-in-law George Gale, charged with payment of Mortgage for £200. To daughter Margaret (wife of George Gale), the “Compasses”. And to son-in-law Thomas Hollingworth, a cottage in Dunstable Street, Ampthill, in occupation of Richard Beech, pipe-maker, and a close adjoining.
