    Luton, High Town (originally Primitive Methodist)
  • Admin/biog history
    The first Primitive Methodist chapel in Luton was built in Midland Road in 1839. A chapel was registered in High Town in 1845 and sold to the Midland Railway Company in 1852. A replacement chapel was opened in 1854 and a schoolroom added in 1861. A new, larger chapel was built in 1897, with the original building becoming the Sunday School. Still open in 2013.
