    Horace Gillett of Fandish – he is the son of Thomas Gillitt, farmer of Farndish and lives with him. On October 19 about 6.30am he was with his father in a field adjoining the orchard and saw Willmot picking walnuts from under a tree and putting them in a bag. When Willmot saw them he bolted down the field. He ran after him and caught him about ¼ mile away. He asked Willmot for the walnuts but he at first refused to give them up. There were about a peck, worth one shilling. After he took the walnuts away Willmot ran after him and tried to get them again but he would not let him. Willmot used very bad language. Plea of William Willmot of Irchester (Northants) – guilty. Agreed to case being dealt with summarily at Sharnbrook Petty Sessions.
