Scope and Content
These files were kept by the County Surveyor and contain correspondence, reports and other papers relating to compensation claims eithther against or by the County Council arising from road accidents. The claims are for personal injury or damage to property and range from a claim against the County Council for the death of a cyclist (ref: Hi/RS/1/1/2) to a claim by the County Council against a road haulage company for damaging the parapet of Girtford Bridge (Hi/RS/1/1/4)
