    Royal Precept to the Sheriff to summon the inhabitants of Clophill concerning a presentment about the state of repair of the ancient and common highway from Campton through Beadlow and Clophill to Maulden and, in particular, a certain part of it in Clophill leading from Beadlow Common Gate alias Campton Common Gate by Beadlow Farmhouses through Beadlow Lane across Church Field and along Clophill Town as far as the Flying Horse alehouse continuing in length 2 miles and in breadth 12 yards for which a fee of £50 had been assessed.
