"This to Rich'd Perse the younger to let him know that I Daniel Carter of Shitling have an order to pay you ten pounds being du to you upon a legasy from your kinsman Richard Peas which died sum years a go at Ekford and your father tels me if I pay the mony to him it will be al won. So if you hand this note and likewise the barer as a witius I shal except the same as your order. So no more from your frind Daniel Carter.
