A505, Dunstable From the London North Eastern Railway Bridge eastwards to the Skimpot Turn; plans and sections of pre and post Second World War improvement schemes, includes constructional details of the carriageways, drainage and other accomodation works e.g. roadside walls and fencing. There are forecourt plans of the Belle Vue Garage, dated 1939 and 1947. An improvement scheme for this section of road was approved in 1955 (see Page 39 of the Minutes of the Highways and Bridges Committee, 11 June 1955: Hi/V/160/5).
