- Scope and ContentSince Antonie’s servant left Campton the high Constable of Odell has brought Thomas Savidge, Odell, labourer and Thomas Church to the Justices of the Peace for poaching game on Colworth manor; Church has been forgiven on asking Antonie’s pardon, there being many attenuating circumstances, Savidge has been convicted in the penalty of £5, but Field asks Antonie to pay the 50 shillings informer’s money to the overseer of the poor, Sharnbrook, on condition that Savidge also pays 50 shillings and promises good behaviour. If he fails to do so the Mittimus committing Savidge to the House of Correction at Bedford is to be put into force – in custody for three months. Mittimus addressed to the Constable of Odell, and to Keeper of the House of Correction, Bedford.
