    -- a messuage formerly part of an inn called the George, in South Street, Dunstable; abutting south on the new-erected messuage of Thomas Mellor (sometime since parcel of the Cock Inn), west on Watling Street; with bakehouse, barn and stable; late in the occupation of William Taylor, then Ann Taylor, widow, then Thomas Mellor and Bartholomew Burrows; -- a piece of ground whereon a cottage formerly stood, now pulled down; described as being in Pudding or Poaching lane; adjoining St. Mary’s close, late George Knowles west, ground of Richard Syridge north; formerly in the occupation of Joseph Impey, from whom George Knowles purchased, then John Eames; -- St. Mary’s close, formerly orchard and garden; now has above thrown into it and is 2 acres; abutting southeast on ground late Aynscombe, now James Oliver; west on the Butts; north on Ironmongers lane; heretofore in the occupation of Thomas Sear, then Henry Norman, since Edward Snoxell, then John Green, late Thomas Mellor; all which messuage, close and premises are now in the occupation of Lawrence Richardson by lease from Thomas Mellor 25 June1804; recites 10, 11 October 1798: (i) Thomas Warren and wife Mary; (ii) Thomas Scott and wife Ann; (iii) Elizabeth Taylor, spinster; (iv) Daniel Queneborough; (v) Samuel Queneborough; (vi) William Queneborough and wife Martha; (vii) William Wright and wife Mary; (viii) Ann Queneborough; (ix) Thomas Mellor and wife Sarah; (x) Edward Snoxell of Dunstable, farmer and carrier; Witnesses: John Hooper, Nat.
