A1, Biggleswade By-Pass and Girtford diversion, Sandy to Tempsford Section Incomplete set of elevations, plans and section. Including elevations of the flood arches at Biggleswade, roadside detail of Girtford village and Lower Caldecote hamlet, and cross sections of the construction of major accomodation works such as embankments. The by-pass was opened to traffic on the 7 August 1961 and its construction pioneered the use of pulverised fuel ash as an embankment infill material.
