Magistrates: C C Beaty Pownall 38 prisoners in custody. Corresponding number last year - 13. The Governor has been obliged to punish two of the prisoners during the past week - John Wiles by 10 hours confinement in the refractory for misconduct in the day room, by using provocative language to another prisoner. Isaac Church by 8 hours confinement in the refractory for refusing o obey the Governors orders. The Debtor [William] Dyer remains in the same precarious state. John S Austin applied for an order to admit his housekeeper Elizabeth Fisher to visit him today - granted.
