    Operating as a deed to lead the uses of two Common Recoveries to be suffered on the lands listed below from James Milward of Bedford in the County of Bedford, yeoman, (eldest son and heir of James Milward, late of Hartford in the County of Huntingdon, yeoman deceased, who was one of the sons of William Milward late of Thurleigh, yeoman deceased and a devise or cestui que use in the will of Elizabeth Bletsoe, late of Harrold in the County of Bedford, widow, deceased) and his wife Ann to Samuel Brown of Norfolk Street in the Strand, Middlesex, gentleman, the tenant to the precipe in the intented recovery to be suffered and also involving, it is declared, Thomas Pearce Brown of Norfolk Street, gentleman,as the demandant in the action, to break entails or estates tails and bar the dower of Ann Milward of and in: (a) Messuage, tenement or farm house in Denford in the County of Northampton with the close of pasture adjoining called the Home Close (b) Close or parcel of meadow or pasture called Long Close containing one acre and three roads and twenty nine perches in Denford (c) Close or parcel of meadow or pasture called Belshers Great Close containing fifty one acres three roads and twenty eight perches also in Denford (d) Piece of meadow or pasture land in Woodford in Northampton containing one acre two roods and twenty five perches all which (a) - (d) were late in the occupation of William Wallis for the annual rent of sixty pounds. (e) Two messuages or tenements and orchards, cottages and blacksmith's in Harrold (f) Close or parcel of meadow or pasture in Harrold called Watch Park Close containing one acre one rood and nineteen perches (g) Several pieces or parcel of arable land, ley meadow and sward ground lying dispersedly in the common fields,meadow ,precints and bounds of Harrold containing one hundred acres and thirty three perches (h) Several pieces or parcel of lammas Land situate in Harrold containing three acres, one rood and two perches (i) 2 closes or parcels of enclosed meadow or pasture and spinney or wood called Sautons containing seventeen acres two roods and twenty eight perches all which (f) - (i) are now or late were in the occupation of Charles Bletsoe at the annual rent of fifty four pounds ten shillings (j) Messuage or tenement, brewhouse and butchers shop formerly called the Queen's Head with the orchard and pightle belonging in Harrold (k) Several parcels of arable land, ley meadow and sward ground lying dipersedly in the common fields meadows precincts and bounds of Harrold containing fourteen acres two roods and fifteen perches ....(j) - (k) being now or late in the occupation of Dudley French for the annual rent of eleven pounds ten shillings (l) Cottage, fellmonger's shop yard and gardens in Harrold now or late in the tenure or occupation of Samuel Parsons at the annual rent of four pounds fifteen shillings (m) Cottage - now divided into two two tenements - in Harrold now or late in the tenure or occupation of Thomas Cotton and William Hartwell at the annual rent of one pounds five shillings (n) Cottage - now divided into two tenements - in Harrold now or late in the occupation of Mary Cook and John Summerlin at the respective annual rents of one pounds five shillings (o) Cottage and barn in Harrold now or late in the tenure of Joseph Douglas at the annual rent of one five shillings and six pence Declarations that the recoveries so suffered shall enure to the following uses; all of the above land except (a), (c) and (g) to James Milward in fee; and (a), (c) and (g) to James Milward for life, remainder in fee subject to payment of annuity of £50 to his wife Ann subject to her survival and remaining unmarried. Witnesses to signing, sealing and delivery : F.C. Wratislau, and James Smith, clerks to Mr Gotobed of Norfolk Street.
