Apprenticeship Indenture: Joseph Hack son of James Hack of Hockliffe, carpenter by and with the consent of his said father testified by his being a party to and executing these presents doth put himself apprentice to George Turney of Little Brickhill, baker.

Apprenticeship Indenture: Joseph Hack son of James Hack of Hockliffe, carpenter by and with the consent of his said father testified by his being a party to and executing these presents doth put himself apprentice to George Turney of Little Brickhill, baker. From the day of the date hereof for the term of three years. George Turney for and in consideration of the sum of ten pounds to be paid to him by the said James Hack - five pounds on the execution of these presents and five pounds on the expiration of eighteen months thence next following His said apprentice in the art of a baker which he useth by the best means that he can shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed finding unto the said apprentice sufficient meat drink and lodging during the said term. James Hack doth hereby agree to pay the said last mentioned sum of five pounds at the expiration of eighteen months from the date hereof and to find for his said son during the said term clothes washing and all other necessaries. In witness whereof the parties above named to this indenture have put their hands and seals the 5th day of April 1850. Signed; Joseph Hack; James Hack; George Turney. Witnessed by William Harland, Clerk to Mr Green, Solicitor, Woburn. Receipt on dorse for £5 signed by George Turney witnessed by William Harland, Clerk to Mr Green, Solicitor, Woburn.
