    Apprenticeship Indenture: John Charles Peeling son of Mary Peeling of Maulden, widow (by and with the consent of his said mother testified by her executing these presents), apprentice to Joseph Hurley of Woburn, plumber, glazier and painter. From the day of the date hereof for the term of seven years or until the said apprentice shall attain the age of twenty one years. Joseph Hurley for and in consideration of the sum of ninety nine pounds paid to him by the said Mary Peeling on or before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt thereof he doth hereby acknowledge His said apprentice in the art and science of a plumber, glazier and painter which he useth by the best means that he can shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed finding unto the said apprentice sufficient meat drink clothes lodging and all other necessaries during the said term. And the said Mary Peeling doth hereby covenant and promise to find and provide for her said son sufficient and proper clothes washing and all other necessaries (except meat drink and lodging which are to be provided by the said Joseph Hurley as aforesaid) during all the said term.
