    Apprenticeship Indenture: John Roberson of his own free will and doth put himself apprentice to James Bunker of Millbrook, shoemaker. To serve from the seventh day of November now last past for a term of two years. The said James Bunker in consideration of the sum of Twenty Eight pounds of British Currency to be paid in manner following(that is to say) the sum of fourteen pounds on or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the remaining sum of fourteen pounds on the eighth day of February next his said apprentice in the art of a shoemaker which he useth by the best means that he can shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed finding unto the said apprentice sufficient meat drink washing clothes mending lodging and all other necessaries during the said term. And the said John Roberson doth covenant and agree to pay the said sum of fourteen pounds the remainder of the said consideration on the eighth day of February next ensuing. Signed and sealed by James Bunker with receipt for £14 on the dorse. Witnessed by Thomas Day, Attorney at Law, Woburn and Richard Pedder. With two loose documents: Receipt from James Bunker for £14 paid to him by John Fountaine 8 February 1809, witnessed by Thomas Day and George Odell. Letter from John Fountaine, Holcutt Moor, to Thomas Day, Woburn: Sir, I have inclosed fourteen pounds four shillings for you to settle with Bunker on J Robersons account. He will call on you tomorrow morning as my neighbours were not willing for me to pay him today at Church we agree to allow Bunker 3s 6d for his trouble of coming for his money please too with your account before Easter what I owe you on the parish account.12 February 1809.
