    Apprenticeship Indenture: John Brinklow, one of the sons of Joseph Brinklow of Eversholt, yeoman, deceased, by and with the consent of his Guardian James Millard of Woburn doth put himself apprentice to Edward French of Houghton Regis, carpenter and joiner. To serve from the date hereof for a term of seven years. The said Master in consideration of the sum of Twenty Six pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said James Millard and the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged his said apprentice in the art of a carpenter and joiner which he useth by the best means that he can shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed finding unto the said apprentice sufficient meat drink washing mending lodging and all other necessaries during the said term. And the said James Millard doth covenant to find and provide for the said apprentice all manner of clothes both linen and woollen, shoes, hats and all other necessary wearing apparel during the said term 24 June 1805. Signed and sealed by John Brinklow; James Millard; Edward French. Witnessed by Joseph Daniel; John Tift. Addendum on dorse: This Indenture is cancelled from the day of the date hereof by consent of all the parties within mentioned, the Master having given up the remainder of the time the Apprentice has to serve and is to retain the consideration money given to him.
