Scope and Content
On dorse Charles Davies
The book appears to have been a reissue of two works by an editor?
Charles Davies dedicated it to Francis Pym Esq, MP of the Hazells, Sandy.
`The other design which the Editor has in view by publishing this work, is, that from the projects which may arise from its sale, he might be enabled to assist a few pious individuals in establishing a Sabbath School for poor children and to afford accommodation to the inhabitants of his native village, ["Sandy, a populous village in the County of Bedford"] for the more regular preaching of the Gospel, the place which is now occupied for this purpose being too small and inconvenient.'
