    Thomas Potter of Chaddesley (Worcs), cooper – on 20 October 1833 he was present in the parish church of Chaddesley and witnessed the marriage ceremony between Thomas Foster, widower, and Elizabeth Pearsal, spinster. The prisoner is the same person who was married to Elizabeth Pearsal, who was still alive on 2 January 1837 when he saw and conversed with her at the General Hospital in Birmingham (Warwicks). The paper he now produces is a true copy of the entry in the marriage register for the parish of Chaddesley. Richard Gardner of Cranfield, clerk – he is curate of the parish of Cranfield and on 19 September 1836 he performed the marriage between Thomas Foster and Elizabeth Burley of the parish of Cranfield, spinster. The paper he produced is a true copy of the entry on the marriage register for the parish of Cranfield. Copies of register entries as follows: (1) From marriage register for Chaddesley (Worcs) copied 2 January 1837: Thomas Foster of Kingswinford, widower and Elizabeth Pearsal of this parish married by license on 20th day of October 1833 by G. H. Peircy, vicar. Witnesses: Thomas Potter and John Broad (2) From marriage register for Cranfield, copied 3 January 1836[sic]: Thomas Foster of this parish, widower, and Elizabeth Burley of this parish, spinster, married by banns on 19 September 1836 by Richard Gardner, curate.
