    Beckford Kendall Cater of Moor End, Essex, esq., and John Kendall Cater of Kempston, esq., his eldest son, versus Arabella Cater, Elizabeth Brown, Dame Mary Kendall Cater, John Green and wife Rose and others. Relating to a dispute arising out of the will of John cater esq., of Kempston, 22 June, 1726. Monetary bequests to Reverend Mr Billey, minister of Kempston, Mr Samuel Hartshorne, Mrs Sarah Money, Mrs Mary Money, to all godchildren, to cousins, Rose Belgrave and Elizabeth Parker, widow, the 3 daughters of Rose Belgrave, John Kendall, William and Beckford Kendall, Mrs Goodall, Cater Green, to the poor of Kempston, Mrs Rose Green, Miss Mary Kendall, Miss Ann Goodhall, and Mrs Elizabeth Money. To executors Robert Kendall, all personal estate. All manors, lands and tenancies to Thomas Brown of Arlesey, esq., and Dennis Farrer of Brayfield, Buckinghamshire, esq., to raise money by sale to pay legacies etc., and to pay £300 each to Arabella and Henrietta Cater, daughters of cousin Everard Cater; after payment to Robert Kendall, and in default of his heirs to Beckford Kendall, provided they take the surname and arms of Cater. [See M1/4/14,15.] £10 to each servant, except the ""boy in the yard"" and William Waldeck and Thomas Walton, to whom wearing apparel, equally. Witnesses: William Okeley, Thomas Creswell, George Woodcraft. Codicil 27 March, 1734/5. Revokes bequest to Mr Billey. Alters legacy to Arabella Cater to annuity of £50. Adds monetary bequest to Mrs Mary Taylor and others. Wiliam Waldeck and Thomas Walton have left his service, therefore wearing apparel to Sarah Money and Edward Wykes. Witnesses: Robert Jones, Thomas Robinson, Henry Horton.
