- Scope and ContentRichard Richardson of Potton, [gardener?] - last Friday night he went into the Chequers public house at Wrestlingworth and had one pint of beer. Shearman and Munns were there. Munns sat next to him. He had 7 shillings and 6 pence in his pocket. He did not stay more than 10 minutes. As soon as he got out of the house he missed the money. Shearman and Munns left before him. He ran after them and charged them with taking it. Munns said he had got the money. He asked them for it but they would not give it. Afterwards Shearman and Munns came up to him with Joseph Shearman. Joseph Shearman knocked him down. Richard Richardson the younger - he was at Wrestlingworth on Friday night when his father was at the Chequers. Munns sat next to his father. When they left the house when his father charged Munns with stealing his money he heard Munns say he had the money. As they came along the road Munns said “if you stand a guard you shall have your money”.
