    Mortgage Parties: (i) John Carr of Greenfield, farmer; (ii) Robert Sexton of Ampthill, gentleman Operative Part: - (ii) lent £300 to (i) at 4½ % interest secured on (a)-(h) Property: (a) the site of the manor house or lordship house of Pulloxhill otherwise called the Great House in Fryer Herne, Pulloxhill, heretofore divided into five tenements in the occupation of John Morchen, Jonathan Abbot, William Fowler, John Parker and John Haines; (b) dwellinghouse standing on part of the manor site in the occupation of William Evans; (c) cottage formerly in the occupation of Richard Huckle, tailor, then Joseph Neal, now John Evans; (d) cottage formerly in the occupation of Joseph Neal, now Joseph Jones; (e) cottage formerly in the occupation of Luke Lord, now Francis Olney; (f) cottage lately made out of a barn and dovehouse belonging to (a) formerly in the occupation of George Reynolds, now Henry Hide; (g) piece of land, formerly an orchard and garden belonging to (a) and adjoining it, reputed to contain three acres and now converted into garden ground in the occupation of John Evans, Francis Olney, Henry Hide, William Evans, Samuel Evans and Joseph Jones (except 45 poles sold to John Morris); (h) three cottages lately erected by John Carr on part of (g) Attached - Legacy Receipt – Inland Revenue for £5/1/- legacy duty paid 10 April 1869 on 2½ acres of land, eight cottages and two other cottages at Pulloxhill worth £505/0/10 devised in the will of Richard Carr (died 14 August 1867) in his will proved 30 September 1867 in Northampton DPR to his daughter Mary, wife of Joseph Adams. Indorsement - assignment of mortgage of 23 September 1875 by (1) George Green of Millbrook, farmer and George Claridge of Ampthill, grocer to (2) Thomas Coats Waller of Ampthill, coal dealer. Reciting will of John Carr of 27 April 1867 appointing his brother Robert and son Richard and son-in-law William Olney as executors and devised his real estate in Pulloxhill to them upon trust. Reciting the death of John Carr on 14 August 1867. Reciting proof of the will in Northampton DPR on 30 September 1867. Reciting the will of Robert Sexton of 15 February 1873 appointing (1) as his executors and devising all real estate held by mortgage to them in trust. Reciting the death of Robert Sexton on 21 September 1874 and proof of his will in PPR on 19 October 1874. Reciting that £300 was still owing to (1) but all interest had been paid. Witnessing that (2) paid £300 to (1) and (1) assigned the mortgage security to (2). Witnessed by R. M. White, clerk to John Greene of Ampthill, solicitor.
